Our Story so far
At Light House Yoga Retreats, we understand the pressures of modern life and the need for balance. Co-founded by Michelle Curtin, a financial services professional, and Luke Forest, a highly experienced yoga teacher and retreat facilitator, our mission is to provide busy people with a sanctuary to recharge and reconnect. Inspired by the challenges of juggling demanding careers, family life, and self-care, we’ve created accessible retreats that combine Yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and more to deliver relaxation and rejuvenation. Our retreats are held in St Leonards-on-Sea, just 90 mins from London, where we harness the soothing power of the sea to calm the mind, invigorate the body, and uplift the soul.
Join us for an experience that feels like a true escape that is designed with your busy life in mind.
Allow us to guide you home.
Meet the Team

Michelle Curtin
Founder & Facilitator
With over 25 years in financial services and market infrastructure Michelle knows all too well the importance of keeping a life work balance and how that can be a challenge for most of us. After discovering Yoga and experiencing the many healing modalities around, Michelle saw a huge change in her effectiveness in the business world and as a busy mother. Naturally this lead her to want to share with others and to help everyone to find peace and balance in their daily lives which lead to her participating in trainings herself and travelling all over the world to learn how to harness and pass on what she has discovered.

Anna Robert Shaw
Teacher & Facilitator
Anna started yoga in her early 30’s when her third son was born. Never one to do things by halves, after only 6 months of ‘doing’ yoga she decided she wanted to teach.
Anna is fully Western trained and made regular pilgrimages to NYC to her favourite yoga studio to bring back new material and practices to students.
Anna finds that Yoga allows her busy mind to drop right down into the tips of her toes and maybe below the surface of the ground.
Anna likes to keep things light and" real" in a very serious business of students' health, wellness & vitality.
Anna loves cooking, reading, running, going to the gym, walking my dog, seeing her boys, family and friends, as well as being by the sea (sometimes getting into it!!).

Luke Forest
Founder & Teacher
Luke discovered yoga by accident during a trip to India, and it completely transformed his life. After immersing himself in over 1,000 hours of training, he now specialises in traditional Hatha yoga, as well as meditation and breathwork. With years of experience hosting retreats, Luke creates a welcoming space for everyone to explore yoga, regardless of their experience level. When he’s not teaching, he enjoys walking his dog and drawing inspiration from his background in graphic design.

Connie Rose
Teacher & Facilitator
Connie’s journey into the spiritual world began at 18, and her love for yoga really took off as she explored classes and books that helped her find her feet during difficult times of grief.
After years of practice, she discovered her calling to guide others on their paths. In 2019, she traveled to India for her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, a truly transformative experience. With now a total of 600 hours of training now under her belt - covering yin, vinyasa, hatha, pranayama, sound healing, and meditation, she shares her passion through weekly in-person classes & retreats, creating a space for others to return to their hearts.
When she's not teaching, Connie loves to surf, spend time in nature, and travel
